Academy of Excellence (AoE) is a Wisconsin school participating in the choice program, that has been serving Milwaukee families with a free*, private, Christian education to students in K4-12th grades.
AoE:Online, launched in 2020 and powered by curriculums such as BJU Press and Abeka, implements a strong, biblical worldview that focuses on biblical understanding, critical thinking, and technological solutions.
Elementary subjects include: Bible, English Language Arts, Handwriting, Mathematics, Science, Heritage Studies, Physical Education, Health, Spanish and Art.
Middle School students are enrolled in courses such as Bible, Science, Heritage Studies, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Literature, as well as Grammar & Writing.
High school coursework includes such topics as American and British Literature, mathematics through Pre-calculus, Government and historical studies such as American and World History, challenging biblical studies, modern language opportunities, Health and Physical Education for Life, as well as science studies that explore Biology, Chemistry and Physics. High school students may enroll in dual credit coursework through accredited Christian universities. Student coursework in the final years of schooling is customized to meet graduation requirements, as well as student interests.
AOE: Online is a tuition free option for qualifying Wisconsin families through the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. Families can explore options and apply to WPCP, MPCP, and RPCP programs at http://dpi.wi.gov/choice during open enrollment each year. The WPCP 2023-2024 Open Enrollment period is February 1st – April 20th. Eligibility for School of Choice is determined by: family size, family income, permanent address, and available seats within the program area.
